New Official Residences for 10 Southern Province Police OICs: Minister Ananda Wijepala Officiates Opening

The official ceremony to hand over newly constructed official residences for the Officers-in-Charge (OICs) of 10 police stations in the Southern Province was held yesterday (12th), under the patronage of the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Ananda Wijepala. The event was also attended by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Attorney-at-Law Priyantha Weerasooriya, alongside several senior police officials.

These housing facilities were provided to the OICs of 10 selected police stations covering the Galle, Matara, and Hambantota districts. Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) in charge of the Southern Province, Mr. Kithsiri Jayalath, and other high-ranking police officers from the region were also present at the occasion.
